If you have an aluminium one.

+ Tekno side guards
+ Front braces (chassis and top)
+ 2 pieces rear wing
+ T Bone Racing front bumper

My suggestions.
As I experienced the "Universal Center Drive shaft" wearing out faster then the simple dogbones. Where the dogbone part is barely weared the universal joint part totally weared out.
I experienced this at HongNor/Jammin/Ofna X1-X2 cvd's too, same material and building as the Hyper 9 have.

Help needed.

On one of my H9e...

When I accelerate on high traction surfaces (like grass) the rear makes a grinding noise. I can easily reproduce it by holding the rear of the car down and hitting the throttle, the front is ok.

I've rebuild the rear diff, center diff and check the rear drive pinion and the gears looks good. I've also give more play to the drive pinion allowing it to push back in the rear diff when the center diff. is installed, thus allowing less space between the drive pinion and the rear diff crown gear.

I also replaced the center drive shaft with the steel one.

The grinding noise is less dominant but it's still there.

Am I missing something ?

How does the rear input coupler look (the funny setup that connects the center diff to the input of the rear gear box)?

Based on other helpers it may be a shimming issue with the rear diff. , any other H9e owner who had to deal with this ?

If it is a shimming issue, you should see damage to the ring and pinion gears.

Just bought one of these Hyper 9E.. already have a Hyper 8 converted to brushless, so interested in comparisons.

Am about to read this whole thread, so may be back with questions.

I might have one that I bought for a conversion but didn't use. I'll check tomorrow.

Hiya guys.

I've recently gotten into RC cars, thanks to some chap on this forum who offered superb advice, I then moved on to a more local forum.

I'm now popping back to ask for a little help, as this seems to be the largest Hyper 9E thread around.

I have 2 hyper 9E's, with a massive box of spares, but I'm after a certain brace/s... I think I have a lot of nitro braces for some reason, but I'm after the E ones that allow the ESC to sit on the chassis, the one I have got looks home made and looks to be made of cheese. I was wondering if there are any hard-core chassis braces that run right through and one with a part cutout so I can sit my ESC on the chassis.

Also, 6s on the 9E is pretty insane.
