I too have been to many Slash races, and one most of them or finished in the top 3 to boot. I have never ever seen a broken ARM. I have seen quite a few Broken rear carriers, and front castor blocks. I have also seen one rear Shock tower shatter.
All three of mine are equipped with RPM Castor Blocks, Rear carriers, and shock towers. The Main reason I did the arms was for ease of cleaning. They have lightening holes through them (Dirt Falls out).

Just ordered the shock towers and a-arms, and then I realized I should have left it apart when I had to take the rear end apart to check the diff for damage, now I get to rebuild it for a second time this week!

Default RPM carrier grinding!

So as not to start a new thread...

I broke a hub carrier last week at the track and replaced it with an RPM one. Worked great. I went to replace the other side today and the assembly fits together really tight and I can hear the bearings grinding...

anyone else have this problem? How did you solve it? It seems like trying to sand the face where the bearing sits is a bad idea... I might have some thinner washers I can try...

In 50ish rounds of racing each on 2 different trucks
Rear carriers - 2
Arms - 0

if you go modified then plan on replacing A LOT of parts. A Slash was not designed to endure those speeds and starts breaking tons of stuff.
