before the main, i noticed that 1 cell would not charge above 4.08v. so i just ran with it and it dumped at the end. note, i ran 23 minutes with that pack before... it ran a little over 14mins yesterday before it took a dump....

so i am going to ask this again would a 4s 5000 zippy last a main at arc?
i just would rather be safe with a 5s 5000 if it is iffy that it would make the time.

it all had to do with a bad cell. i just came back from the garage. the entire battery is gone!!! my lipo monitor can not recognize it nor my charger. charger says output error. i take that is a battery gone bad. so, do not use this example on a basis of runtime. like i mentioned before, when the battery was healthy, i ran 23 minutes.

so then i will have no trouble with a zippy 4s 5000 making the entire main with a truggy?

i know i sound like a broken record but i am ordering it tomorrow and need to get it right. also must you have an Amb to practice at ARC? because they aren't cheap.

4s 5000, i would most likely say no. it takes a 5s 6000 pack for me to safely make 15 minutes. 4s burns more power....

Teeforb is right, a 4s/5000 in a truggy won't make 15 minutes. Buggy = no problem with 4s/5000. We run 6s/4300 and 6s/5000 in truggy. The 6s/4300 will just make 15 minutes with no warm-up laps. If you go 5s, a 6000mah pack will do it without stressing the battery at all.

You don't need a transponder to practice, but you'll need one if you want to race.
