Personally I would hope that this setup becomes the "standard".

I said the same thing in another thread and someone responded with the part number for those gears

As far as the two 2S packs goes.... I they had good intentions, but it will be a no sell for many who already have 4S packs since they probably will not fit. Also, I am guessing the balance of this kit will be a bit left side heavy with 2x2S packs since AE didn't move the drive line over or anything to get weight onto the right side of the car.

Nice! It has big bores and a conversion kit. I would really like one. I wonder why they're calling it "limited edition", unless it's just a test run to gauge interest. I would bet they did it with the popularity of their own conversion kits. I'd be in it for $1000 w/ the car, ESC/motor, and batteries.

AE is offering free big bore on the current RC8 kits... Has anyone jumped on this? For those that got this offer after buying the current RC8, what did you guys do with the shocks that came with the kit? Did you guys hock them for some cash?

Also, I noticed that AE was giving out "service packs" or something to that effect for RC8 owners. Was there a flaw in some of the parts in their kits (such as a botched molding, botched machining)?

just orederd one from my hobbyshop he said around the middle of febuary wich is perfect that gives me plent on time to save for my tekin rx8 esc/motor and new batteries. i wonder if the maxamps 6500 2 cell 7.4 lipo's would fit? THIS IS THE REAL MCOY RIGHT HERE!!!!!!

I have talked to our rep and he is pretty sure that all of these will have the upgrade from the factory. Also, just after some quick price checking, I don't think that anyone has these for any less than we do on the net or anywhere else for that matter.
