Part of the hobby is learning how to work on them!

The XXX-4 has a pretty tough drivetrain. I new something had to be wrong.

Have fun!

Hey, StampedeinIt,

I like the video of your homemade track (seen in your for sale thread).

Here is a video of my homemade track with my xxx-4 (and a Slash).

your track is nice as well. i cant wait to see the jumps you add to it. i need to build a stand like yours. did you also build that? i'm planning on doing some work on my track in the mornin. gonna add so jumps and make the existing ones bigger.

StampedinIT,

Here is a rough plan for next year (see attachments). I want the twisty-turny section to be entirely on a camber sloping a little bit towards the drivers' stand, and then I'll figure out some details as I build it.

The stand is pretty easy. I used all pressure treated lumber (heavy). The sections (except for the stairs) are 6 feet long and 3 feet high to the floor and 6 feet high to the rail, and 3 feet deep. I can just barely tip one up on its corner and push it up into my pickup truck. I use 2 bolts to snug each section to the next. If I get more people coming to my track, I will build another section. Also, these do not need building permits in my area; they just sit on top of the ground and can be moved. I can take more detailed pictures if you want (after the snow goes away, see snow photo of the track).
