Questions?? HPI Wheely King need to slow down??

I have a wheely king for my son and right now it has I believe a 17turn mod motor in it and its way way way too fast for him.. He's 3.. What motor can I get that will slow this down a touch? I dont want it to barley move but maybe do a couple miles an hour tops! Mostly ran inside the house! Thanks for any help anyone can give!

Get one of the "crawler" motors with the highest turn you can find, and if that is still too fast, build up some 4-cell battery packs to run on.

If the radio has it, turn down the end point adjustment on the throttle and reverse. Easy adjustment if available.

Hey joe, Just throw a 27t stocker in it and gear it as low as it will go.

EPA on the remote is the easiest if that option is available.

If not, a 35T crawler motor would be about right I think. I think a 27T may still be too fast for that age.

maybe a silver can motor and the smallest pinion that'll fit. I like the 4 cell batt idea too.

You can put a 55t in it. With mine the top speed is walking fast it will run for well over an hour on a 3600.

Another choice is to get the gear reduction box.

One other consideration is to use a 5 cell battey , possibly even a 4 cell may work. It will not only slow the truck down, but will reduce it's power as well.
