all those conditions mean that the slipper was too tight.
hopefully you have it correct now.

Perhaps slowly squeeze on the throttle rather than mashing it to the max. It is a throttle not an on/off switch. I run my slippers very tight and have learned much better throttle control because of it.

Yes, the only all metal option you have is MIP CVD. You need the Nitro Rustler units, E-Rustler and pede are too long.

BTW,

Actions and consequence. You gotta expect accelerated wear and failure on 3C b/less. In anything.

Stoped by the hobby shop today after stripping a spur...The didnt have the 86t that I have been running..All they had was a 90t..I thought what the heck! So I got it, and a 21t pinion...Let me tell you what!!! It made it a completely different truck..It will wheelie at 1/2-full throttle...I think I have finally found the true 70mph out of Traxxas...Its not going to be any good for racing other than training mode..But for bashing it is going to be a whole heap of fun!!

I would like to know what other people are doing with theirs, what kind of speed? How far has yours slid on its top @ 50mph! (that was nice)

Anyway just hopeing to get a nice thread going about Slash's since some people on here seem to be botherd by "new" Slash threads...I often think its because they dont have one of the bad ass trucks we are all haveing a blast with!!

Hey All, I thought this would be the best place to post my slash question. So here goes.
I just bought a used slash, and ran the juice out of the battery that came with it. So i bought a charger but the local hobby shop didnt have the right adapter for my battery. But they were nice enough to loan me a battery until they get more in. So i put their battery in and ran the juice out of it. Then i recharged it and tried to run it again. but now i have no throttle or reverse. the green light on the ESC will flicker a lil bit but is mostly solid. I tried to recalibrate my Radio but no difference. The Steering works just fine. Did i somehow burn the motor or ESC up? With it being used i cant rule out privious abuse but it seemed to run fine for the little bit i played with it. I tried to find a similar problem but this place is huge and there are only so many hours in the day. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

sounds like either bad battery or connection or possibly a bad esc. try swapping w/ known good pieces and find what the problem is that way.....

Could be a bad motor...If you have voltage tester, check it that way...I had a xl-5 go bad one time, and it did basically the same thing your has done...Also check the water proof rec. box...It may have pinched the signal wire to the esc..Which would be the white wire..If it did, you will still have power to the rec. to make the steering work, but no signal to make the esc work..

Something to think about....

At the Jconcepts Bash this weekend, there was a stock and modified class. The Stock class had the fastest qualifying time and main event time and the modified class was won by someone running a bone stock Slash that was shared betweem two classes.

K.I.S.S. is my new moto!!!

Scooter, we race at OutaControl raceway in Winter Garden and Bartow 555, as well as Extreme Hobbies in Winter Haven, where we raced Slashes today at the JConcepts Bash.

Maybe i'll see you at a race some time.
