Default When to run Ultra Firm foams?

I usually run Bomb 1. Just curious when in 2wd or truck you would want to go to Ultra Firm foams?

FWIW, I typically run pink Tapers or pink BK Bars.

when the traction is really high. like on blue/black groove dirt or clay. the firm foam keeps the tire from rolling under the wheel in the corner.

I also prefer firm foams with red (soft) compound tires on a smooth track to minimize sidewall flex since the carcass is so soft. Hard foams on a rough track is usually a bad idea.

For reference, "Bomb 1" has nothing to do with the firmness. Bomb One is simple refering to a single stage foam insert. Trinity inserts are Bomb One, Two, Three - refering to single, 2, and 3 stage inserts. All three "bombs" are available in soft, med, and hard. I.E., Blue single stage inserts are Bomb One Firm - the white/blue two stage inserts are Bomb Two Medium, etc, etc.
