if anyone is looking to do a electric conversion i have a Losi 2.0 buggy that will be perfect for it. its wore out but still usable. it has the old style adjustable hinge pin brace on the rear, stock up front. no body, fuel tank, radio tray or linkage. it would be complete tho if you bought the electric conversion from losi tho. 100$ + shipping PM ME

Sweet man thanks. I should be there Saturday so if you could bring it out that would be great. I have no idea what hinge pin braces I have. It was a nitro RTR so I'm sure it just has the stock braces that come on that.

does anyone know what the difference is between the 8ight E and 8ight E 2.0 front arms? They have different part #'s but look exactly the same (from the pics I have seen).

You have found the correct thread! Hardly anyone uses the original 8ight any longer!

Well, I am out of town for the week and went to a local hobby store. I bought some front arms (part LOSA1700) for an "8B". I didnt think about the fact that there was an earlier version of this buggy (i was thinking gas version and E version being the same so I picked them up). I can still take them back but they sure look the same as the 2.0 arms.

I used to have the 1.0 and when the 2.0 arms came out they were the same. I should say the geometry of the arms are the same. The newer arms are easier to install and remove the shocks. This might be why there is a new P/N but the original ones will work just fine . . .

so i have an issue,

i received my protek 5600/50c batteries today and i think they are to tall. the battery straps barley overlap like a couple mm and im having to pull tight to get that. I am worried about my body fitting if im having such a hard time with the straps. What are you guys doing?

My proteks fit just fine, I'm using the Losi E body and I mount my straps unconventionally. I put the non buckle end up through the outside battery tray slot then over the battery, down through the inside slot and pull tight and the Velcro meets up great. I've even cut off some of the strap as it was too long. Hopefully that will work for you.
