Try a 14 or 15 first. That should get you in the ballpark.

i think you will have to do some dremel work to get the 48t metal spur to work. If I am not mistaken you have to open the hole in the bottom of the mount to allow clearance for the spur.

I believe that's only for the wider nylon spurs. Even so, it takes about 5 minutes to clearance it.

Default .

Here's why:

At low speeds, there is so much torque in either case that the tires will lose grip, which keeps acceleration completely dependent on them. But at say 25 mph, the the car geared for 50 will continue to accelerate very hard while the car geared for 30 has almost topped out. Basically the closer you are to 0 rpm and the further you are from kv*volts, the more torque you will have.[/QUOTE]

i am currently running a 14/46 on a castle 2200 motor, so ur saying go bigger pinion to reduce the mega torque I have?

whats ur setting on the esc? my car has way to much power I am running 4s at revelation track

my friend said to lower the throttle punch somewhere, other guy said to lower my epa

I lowered my punch control to 20 and it helped alot with the wheelies and made it more driveable. I use 14/48 gearing and 5s.

No, in short I said that going with a bigger pinion would increase punch. Set punch control higher to reduce initial punch, set epa to reduce total punch and top speed. You can also raise the voltage cutoff to reduce total punch and keep the same top speed, but you will lose a little runtime.

Unfortunately my settings are exactly the opposite of what you want, because I personally believe it is best just to master throttle control. Also run a Tekin T8 1900kv buggy motor on 4s which is just about perfect for the track anyway.

question for those who coverted their nitro 8ight to 8ighte with a losi conversion kit and uses a castle/neu motor...The screws included with the losi kit is way big for the castle motor..Looks like it could use a m3 counter sunk screw maybe 15mm in length? Just wanna double check with those who ran that combination b4 I strip somethin...thanks!

The counter sunk screws that hold the differentials together work fine for motor screws. Just find something to fill in the gap between the screw and the mounting plate hole, but even that is not necessary.

You are correct! I have been using M3's since last November and no problems. Use the blue lock-tite and check them often . . .
