wow thats actually pretty heavy for a Electric buggy....seeing as the chassy is roughly 100g's lighter and the tower's are another 15-20g over stock....Im overly impressed with mine.

you're looking at roughly 4 oz with the cf towers and chassis, that puts it at 7lbs 9oz with the stock chassis towers. The original weight was around 8lbs 2 oz.

The chassis can be bought for $109 now which is actually price wise a good deal (price/gram) if you are trying to shed weight compared to other things. The towers were free so that was an added benifit, but you basically save about 14 grams and around $20 a piece it isn't that great of a deal.

The setup sheet that came with my 8ight E says the diff fluids for the E kit setup are the same as the Revelation Raceway setup which is:

3-5-2 and that was confirmed by Truhe when he raced at OCRC a while back.
At that time they hadn't tested them a lot but felt that was the easiest to drive. That was a couple months ago.

A lighter center oil will make the car easier to drive, beacuse It will pull its self straight underpower
lighter oil in general will give you more steering with less overall traction

this is what I have been running in my 8ight 1.0 I use it every where. works very well for me.

OK guys. I have had many people asking me how my Mamba BEC wires made it to my receiver without a extension. Here are the pictures. Stock wire. For the switch I took the mamba apart and soldered a new lead on and ran it to the rx box. The wire on top of the receiver is the BEC wire and you can see plenty of length.

Also we are trying this setup. Just got it. Its the 2200 on 4300 5S Neu Batts. We ran it pretty hard on the street and through the yard. Wheelies/drifting, ext. We are only using a burn rate of 148/min. So 23mins on a 4300 pack. This is with the punch on 30% and the EPA down 80. That gives us a 32k rpm setup. This thing still tries to wheelier. If we turn the epa to 100 it will flip the buggy over no prob. Extremely fast. I cant believe the burn rate is so good. On the the track is might go up some but its a really good number and not nearly as smooth as at the track. With my Neu 1512/3D on the same battery at the track I got 170mah/min.

Here are the pictures.

The motor wires are temporary like that until we test the motor some more and shorten them. Thankx. Also. 15/45 gearing.

I cut the hole in my batt tray too, it works without it even to make the rx wire go all the way.

What kind of temps on the motor?

And who is we, you keep refering to 'we' in your posts.

Motor temps were 111 with the 80% and about 120 with it at 100% epa.

Sorry, we as in my brother and I. Thats his buggy. Hes a harder driver than me. I use less battery. I also have the same Losi buggy. Thats my radio/battery tray in there right now. Im selling my Castle ESC, already sold the Neu motor and getting the new Tekin. I got it backordered and am like #2 on the list.

Guys a few questions. I ordered my Eight -e 2.0 last week. Does anyone know when these will be shipped? Also are the losi 4s 5000mah batteries any good? Could I piggyback my 2s Orion together to make a 4s setup without hurting either pack? I run these in my 1/10 scale and I don't want to f@ck them up. Thanks guys for any info.........

I was told by Losi the E 2.0 would ship April 1st. I've got two of the losi 5000 packs and they're fine, no problems here. As long as your two orion packs are really close in runtime numbers you should be fine doing that. I would set my voltage cutoff a bit higher though just in case, you wouldn't want one pack to discharge before the other and end up killing it.

Thanks for the reply........Ya my Orions are the same (2) 4800's and (2) 5000's. Same age and cycle times. I normally have my cutoff at 6.0v(Mamba). What can you set the losi for? Also have alot of guys experimented with the smart diff? I was thinking of getting the center one. Do you think it would help run time, with less drag? Thanks again.....

Thanks for putting up the pictures. I was asking since I am getting the same setup.

Does anyone know yet if the new 8-E 2.0 will have a longer 2.0 body? The 1.0E hood just fits tight on the posts of the 1.0 buggy. No way its going to fit the 2.0E
