The J82 Thread

Just tried it and the Team Azarashi Vaykal body fits the J82 like a GLOVE. Pics coming...

I want to see it painted...the low profile styling looks sweet though, even with the clear body.

Nice vid! There's something about J82 wheelies that just put a smile on my face.

I thought I would mention we had some fun with the J82's last weekend doing some ramp to ramp jumping at a AMP Live Event. We are guessing 30-40 foot jump. The buggy easily had more in it but traction was low with the sand on concrete surface. Enjoy.

We have been having a blast with the J82's the last few months. We have been racing them as normal on the Super Cup Series with 7 minute mains. The competition and turnout on the Super Cup has been great. We did a short course program which Andrew posted the video for above which was together with the Slash. The J82 is probably the most universal platform for racing and having fun that I have.

Sorry, shattered a wheel bearing a few weeks back. Finally got it all rebuilt with GT2 and B44 parts, but haven't had a chance to run it yet.

Been driving it in truck form to try and get ready for the Reedy truck race this weekend, so haven't been on my J82 for a month or so. I'll get back to driving it as a J82 after the big race.

Need help
Can anyone out there help me out with my cars? I'm a quadraplegic and love to drive my cars but can't work on them. Would anybody be willing to help me get some of my cars in running condition? Most of my cars are Team Associated's, and need just a little work to get running such as:
Install electronics servo, esc, receiver, and motor
Soldier motors to esc and put a trx plug on esc
Mount and glue tires
Change the shock fluids and setup
If anyone is willing to help me, please email me.
[email protected]
Thanks
Tim

The inline front axles bring the steering response back after losing 50% of the front contact patch. Try stuffing a full wide foam in the front tire as well. Other than that, the setup posted a few pages back seems to work out ok for me. I've also had some success with going lighter with black rear springs. I'm about to try out some 30 degree caster blocks. As for durability, I would go for the B44 rear hub carrier upgrade. I blew out a bearing in <10 packs, though I may have overtightened the wheelnut. I just swapped in the GT2 front end for insurance.

Id be more than happy to help, but I have a feeling that shipping costs would be ridiculous. Perhaps you could try the regional forum here? I realize there isnt an Iowa specfic section, but perhaps the Wisc/Ill, or Neb areas have racers from Iowa?
