Drift, check out posts 197 and 198 for details on a XXT-CR/J82. Not sure about a XXXT, but it may be possible with some re-shaping/molding (ie: using a hair dryer) to get the body to fit the XXXT chassis. I'm pretty confident all other J82 parts would work with little to no modifications.

I must admit this is a very cool conversion, What I dont get is why the longer turnbuckle and ball cups, dont you just need the tires and body? Anyway Tower carries this kit, and if you go to retailmenot.com you can get a code to take $10 off.
I'd like to see 1/8th electric buggy take off!

Actually the turnbuckle is shorter with a longer ball cup. The rear wheels have less offset (1/2in) which make them rub on the stock turnbuckle/ball cup. The new ball cup is shaped differently to clear the rear wheel.

I just wanted to add that I really enjoyed running my J82. I had no clearance issues running my Lunsford turnbuckles and RPM ball ends but your mileage may vary as I'm sure there is reason for the change to the kit parts. I agree that running a bit softer front springs is a good route to go. I ran silvers first and I think I'll run greens next time. I also ran the Yellow fronts on the track I was at which is very loamy and they were a major improvement from running standard truck fronts.

Here's my first body and I received one from Jim @ WED recently which is sick! (Don't abuse me for my use of aluminum - I haven't bent any yet and was playing around using more active weight to offset the LiPos)

It seems we are going softer up front correct? I have seen a few with Greens on the front which is only one step up from the softest i think. I am going to try Black rear and Blue front on Saturday but i am also running lipo with out all the weight added back in.

I edited post...I was thinking softer but fingers were typing stiffer...

I'd be curious to see how you like the Blue Front Black Rear setup, post back with your findings if you don't mind.
