Towerhobbies list price is $450.00
Let's see if the price will change when it becomes available.

What's the deal with wheels on the Firestorm? Is it an HPI-only wheel or can you use or adapt to standard wheels?

I've been thinking about picking one up for the local HPI events, but if it's an HPI-only deal, that's a definite negative.

You can use other wheels on the E/Firestorm just make sure the wheels you wil get have 12mm hex. Basically you what you need is 4pcs rear wheels since the front axle have hex adapters also.

Thanks for the reply. That might work OK if only because the truck guys around here have been running rear tires all the way around...so that would be pretty handy.

I got to hit up Andy from HPI about it today and he said they actually have some dish wheels from one of the HB trucks.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

More reasonable $309.99 now, which seems about right.
