hey im new here.my bro has a E-ZILLA (esavage) and he ordered a ammo 2600,he has the mamba ESC,do u think he will need a heat sink for the motor and a fan for fan speed controller??

depends on how he has it geared and which ammo motor he's got

the ammo's have a 3 number system

should be something like a 33-56-2300

Assuming everything else, especially the wheels and tires, on the E-Zilla are stock then having a cooling fan on the MambaMax ESC is best when using a 20T pinion, a heatsink for the motor while preferable is optional.

If an 18T pinion is used there will be less heat generated by the ESC to the point where an ESC cooling fan MAY not be necessary and more of an option, a heatsink for the motor is preferable although still optional in this situation.

At the end of the day, the motor and ESC will run more efficiently given adequate cooling.

Just my 2 cents

k thanks,and do u think he will need two batterys,he has one Venom 4200 NIMH.Do think it will be enough?

7.2 volts is not enough, double that would be a good starting point

but the ESC has to be rated to handle that much voltage

I'm unaware of your bro's expectations so I can't say whats "enough".

A friend runs the Ammo 36-56-2600 with heatsink, MambaMax with cooling fan, 20T 32 Pitch 5mm bore pinion on two 7.2v IB4200 packs on an otherwise stock E-Savage and his Bushnell Speedgun registers a top speed of 36 mph.
