Rustler ESC related questions
I bought an Original Rustler (not XL, or VXL) a WHILE back
and have recently begun to use it again.
There are primarily 2 questions in my mind:
1) What is the lowest turn motor the STOCK ESC will safely handle
(As in, not die, or blow up, or even get damaged)?
2) What is a good, low cost ESC that I could drop in
that would be able to handle anything from a 27T - 19T/17T ?
(also, mention the suggested retail price)
and have recently begun to use it again.

I dont no the answer to question 1 in motor turn value but the XL-1 can handle up to 7 cells and 150 amps current max.
As for a cheap replacement the Novak XRS $46.99 (from Towers) 15T, 4-6 cell, forward/brake/reverse only or if you want more features the Novak Rooster 12T $84.99 (from Towers) with many more features including lipo cutoff.

If you have an XL5 ESC then it will handle 540 motors to 15t and 550 motors to 12t.
For your second question If you dont have an XL5 but the XL1 you can get that from traxxas i think it was 49.99 not 100% sure on price though. but considering the XL10 is 99.99 wich is capable of running up to a 10T motor.
