Start with Tony's setup.
Run Hole Shot rears and Silver 7202's up front.
Change to 35wt oil front and rear.
If the traction comes up go 1 stiffer on the rear spring.
The only other change I made is add .5 oz on the front bulk head.

after reading this thread for the last few days now (started at the begining)...the enthusiasm for this buggy is amazing. i'm in upstate new york, limited tracks( now that gas is so high). i recently bought an academy sb v2 pro...and love it... but you guys are making me think about 2wd now.
was just wondering if any of you guys have setup info on the 4wd buggy as well...and any mod info.

any thing would be appreciated
thanks,
Bill

The Academy SB V2 thread on Tech is pretty killer.

You can also try here as for setups for the 2wd and 4wd cars.

I've helped two of my friends out and noticed that some are putting the shorter shock eyelets on the top and bottom of their front shocks.

I suggest putting the longer damper caps and bottom eyelets on the front suspension as well as the rear and turn the front shock shafts two and a half turns out.

You will know if you have the wrong parts if while suspended in air the car has no droop in the front.

I don't think that saving this setup sheet is allowed. You can print but you cannot save it so I can't post it. My friend ran my setup, which is pretty much aerayls setup cept for a few tweeks and oils, and took the win today. I wish I coulda raced but have school on Tuesdays now.

Yeah I printed my setups. I have a scanner on my printer so I could post my setup easier. After I run again with all my changes and with my car weighing more I will get a new setup printed up and posted if it works well.

Vineland is very tough and with only two packs that makes it even harder. My car was pretty good the one time I went this year, but I had my punch control on my speedo turned all the way down by mistake. Car would of actually been alot easier to drive if I had the punch control turned off. I fixed my settings at are track a week ago and actually with more power my car was better that when I had the punch control setting wrong.

Ever sine I found that problem my car has been better and laptimes are alot better to. I won't ever make that mistake again.

This weekend will be the added weight in my car with my new lipo plate. Now the car will weigh like I had 4600's in my car so I expect to see my car be better than ever this weekend.

Hey i've got a GV2 with Diggity Designs carbon fiber parts. I'm going to the ROAR Off-road Nats and I was wondering what kind of setup should I put on my car to start out. The track (Hot Rod Hobbies) is high bite, blue groove, and dusty. The tires that work at the track are red BK Bars in the back and Silver Taper Pins in the front.

Thanks,
Chris

What up chris. Im going to be at the nats as well, and will try my setup from ir/cr first, then probably end up putting Tony's cactus classis setup on.

Hey Fred post your setup sometime if you have a chance. Interested to see what you ran vs what I ran at Vineland last time.

Once I run this week at PitSTop I will post my new setup.

Thanks Fred. I liked the little heavier oil at Vineland to. Double Dees didn't seem as good to me in the rear. Holeshots for the day I was down.

Cool I will post mine after I run Saturday incase I make any changes.
