Revo 3.3 exhaust - and Overal Performance Tuning
Sorry if this has been covered a million times, but I couldnt find exactly the answer that I was looking for in the search.
The Traxxas aftermarket exhaust says it is for both the 2.5 and 3.3 engines and that it is tuned.
I know the smaller the engine the more sensitive it is to tuning. (IE : cars, motorcycles, ect...)
Unless I am mistaken with the RC world - How can a Tuned pipe that is Tuned for the 2.5 work on the much bigger 3.3 with the exact same tuning???
Though it may work - its not 100% correct - at least in my logic, and experiance with engines (not RC engines though.)
Does this Tuned pipe really make a $50.00 difference in the performance of the truck - or does it make you think something is happening, more so than it accually is, because you think it should and because its louder.
I have already upgraded the factory springs. I put the stiffer #20 springs from the rear on to the front and replaced them with #24 springs - for the rear. The body roll is much less and it is much easier to drive at high speeds.
I upgraded the radio system to a Futuba 3pm radio. I have also ordered dual 106 oz torque cervos from tower hobbies, to replace the stock 80oz torque cervos. Between the 2 thats a 52oz torque improvement.
It may not have been necessary but the Revo is a 10lb truck that does 45mph and is 4wd. I am sure it will be much more responsive and have a tighter, more responsive turning radius - when at an acceptable speeds.
Any help on that Revo exhaust would be great...
and if anyone else has modded there Revo with positave, worth it for the dollar spent, modifications please post up.

Also you should have went with one strong servo instead of 2. Although it seems like 2 servos you would get double the torque but you are really not. A single servo conversion with a high torque mg servo is a huge improvement over stock. I suggest a Hitec HS-5955TG 333oz/in @ .15sec...YEAH!!!

im interested in running just a single servo instead of the 2 stock
in my revo 3.3.
just curious, i notice some of the places selling servo's
have options where you can pay more for a different turning degree.
do you happen to know if i just need a stock hs-5955tg, or one of those others?
also did you need any other parts while converting to use of just one?
thanks for your help!

I could always use those cervos on some of my other trucks. How would I go about doing that conversion? Is there a kit? and where would it be mounted?

The other thing. I am sure that any pipe will do something, but is it actually $50 worth of something.
I have done some expensive mods in the past on other trucks, but sometimes the mods were not worth the expence and that money could have been better used esle where.

You just need the regular 'ol 5955...you won't even be able to use its full throw on a Revo.
You'll need these for the single conversion...
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/5320
And get this also since you'll be using a higher torque servo...

Last some what dumb question and I am almost embarrased to ask b/c I am sure it dosent matter. It will be the last one.
Is there a preference to which side? For binding and or any possible linkage issues?
