I will be buying the Losi brushless conversion, the Losi 14 tooth pinion and the Losi plastic 45 tooth spur gear. I also ordered a Zippy 5000 4S 25C pack from Hobby City. I am undecided on whether to buy the Castle Mamba Monster 2200kv combo or just the speedo and a Neu motor. I keep hearing the Neu motors are better than the Castle/Neu motors. Is this true and what is better and makes them worth the more expensive price? I need suggestions from the experienced people here. I will be racing and not bashing at all. Also, if I decide on a Neu motor, which one is recommended for racing and what do all the numbers mean after the motor part number such as 1515 and 1512? Also, any suggestions on where to buy the Neu motors online?

Thanks,
Ty

You wish list looks good. The Castle 2200 combo is good, but if you want the best get the Monster ESC and a Tekno Neu 1515/1Y check www.impaktrc.com for the motors and any thing eles you need.

Then come out to Medina this sumer.

The pit runs 20min A main so battery life would be a concern for you. 6 min quals should be no problem. Brad, Ernest and I have no problem running 20min main with our 6S setup.
Try ABS on the transmitter. That might help. I am thinking of trying a really fast abs speed with a mild delay.

Im gonna drive up again on sat and come race. I dunno if there will be a big crowd with the NC and all but o well.

Ray have you temped your motor at all after putting a pack through it at 18/46. I want to know what it was. I am still working on gearing mine correctly and dialing it in.

Not sure track will be open. they might be getting ready for cactus. And of course, all the nitro guys will be at the pit for NC.

wow thats nice and cool. Just the stock rc8 body? did you cut any holes?

I came off at like 170 for motor and 125 for esc. Pretty warm. Just with the stock 8ight-e body and no fan on esc because it broke. I'm not sure where to go at this point with gearing. I think down, but some people say up and I cant go down because I need the speed.

Meh. guess I will find out later this week. If there is no racing I will send my esc back to castle to get the fan fixed.
