I have the above motor in my 8 buggy and I love it!!. Has gobs of torque, spools up instantly and is VERY competitive with the nitros on a 4S 6000 Lipo.

Run time is beyond 25 minutes. Temps are all in range as I posted a while back (thermal image) of buggy after a run.

You'll want mod 1 pinions.

On the motors I believe the lower the # the lower the # of winds. Therefore a higher kv rating.

I don't know about gearing.

I would think doing a battery change every 15 to 18 minutes is the only way I'm going to be able to race with the nitros around here.
There's already talk of mandatory 10 second stop and go pits for electrics.
Might as well build the car light and build a nice lead between pit stops !

I've run the feigao motors without issue, there not a neu, but if you get a wanderer 8-9xl and the heatsink-motor brace you'll be fine for a while.

Hi guys,

I just thought I'd share my Jammin' conversion that's 1 1/2 years in the making :

Side by side with Sacker conversion that's been running stable 1+ year in current configuration.

I've had most of the items for a while but was too lazy to put it together. However, this weekend I worked hard to complete this. Well, I'm still waiting for Dan's kit to arrive but at least I can maiden the car tomorrow.

I'm using Polyquest 4S 6000mah, Neu 1512 (2600KV), 13/48 gearing. RC-monster motor & servo plate. Home made battery & esc holder (to b replaced by rcpd items when I receive them). Mamba Max double deck. Hopefully the esc can hold up .

Regards,
Joe Ling

2xl

lol

The 7 turn is a hotter wind... more rpms... than a 9 turn motor. The 7xl is very fast but also runs very hot and is harder on batts and esc. The 9xl is proven to be still plenty fast, but easier on everything.

it would only seem fair for the people that ordered direct to get them first, they did pay $30 bucks or so more than everyone else

If you ordered from Castle the first week of pre-orders you will get them about a week before everyone else. This was a special and the following week they will be available to distributors.

OK guys After running about a 2 weeks of nitro 1/8th buggy I'm pretty much done, My question is?

1. Is there any motor mount for GS storm CL1 buggy?

2. Is the motor mount on the other 8th scale buggy universal? if so can I use on my GS storm CL1?

I really want to get this buggy converted to electric since I'm a electric guy at heart I gave nitro a shoot but it's just not for me. So please help......
