I've done a lot of running on glued surfaces and by far the best sauce for Gold Smoothies is SXT 3.0. When starting with a brand new set, sauce for 15mins and then resauce like 3-5mins before you run. I normally only sauce 1/2 or 3/4 front tire. If you are running mod and need less/smoother steering, try a 4wd front smoothie on a 2wd front wheel. You can normally sauce less time as the tires get older/softer.

Got a chance to run some Jconcepts flipouts again on our carpet track due to track rules on no hardpin tires . I went with AKA red inserts, and the fronts ran the schuey staggers since they were cheap (mounted new for $10, figure why not) and it was a beautiful combo. I had the kind of planted feel I was looking for but still drivable drift.
I also tried saucing using goo gone which another driver had recommended on the forum and that really woke up the tires. Its like it conditioned the tires more than acted as a traction additive. This was less extra traction than in comparison to sxt 3.0, however, it felt a whole lot more consistent through the run.
The pins themselves on the flipouts looked to be in good condition, and I am curious to seee how the super soft compound would work relative to being a slick as others have been trying super soft compounds so they don't need as much of the SXT sauce. Since the green compound feels slightly stiffer than say prolines M4 compound, I am thining maybe these could be the hot ticket for our conditions and limitations here without lots of sauce.

I am about to pull the trigger on a 22-4 2.0. My local track, Lake Park in Tampa, is a rough hard packed red clay with dusting on top. I am trying to find the best tires for this application.
Can you guys recommend something? I see the Dirt Maze but it only shows Rear tires?

. If you want something that will last a little longer, I would recommend green Hybrid rears and green reflex fronts.

Apparently one (or both parts of these combos) are either out of stock or discontinued. Any suggestions where to buy?

Question on the new JC associated B6 front ball stud mount.
Any chance that would include actual steering bellcrank posts vs using the sloppy 20mm screws?
I have always wondered why AE used screws vs posts there. I bought the Avid shoulder screws to replace the standard screws, but a new ball stud mount with posts would be the ideal solution.
