Regarding the JConcept wheels, did anyone in the A main use them? My only concern is potentially reduced side bite and straight line strability due to aerodynamics.

They ran Bar Code fronts as well. Some guys ran white compound and other orange. No one in the Mod mains ran the wheels, but that has to do with the appearence more than anything. You dont see real race cars with dish wheels...

I don't like those wheels. The car feels weird with them on.

Not sure if this was asked but how long til the orange compound will be available to hobbyshops?

MOmo 03-16-2009 03:06 PM

Noticed that the BJ4 WE upgrade kit has been pulled from the site, will it be back and available? I was looking to pick up some spares for my WE, and figured it was the best bang for the buck.

On an "blue groove" indoor clay with strong traction, what tire compounds would you recommend? Im looking to get a couple of new tires to add to my arsenal.

Can anyone tell me if the B44 steering setup can be made to fit the WE and simply use the necessary steering parts and change the front top plate for the AE one?

Hi Andy,

Which of your B4 Illuzion body would allow fitting LRP Sphere TC ESC with Fan at the left side of the chassis?

The stock B4 body is a little too low at the side and it would touch the heat sink of LRP Sphere TC even without the fan fitted.

Thanks.

Andrew

Those were prototypes at Cactus, so...maybe 2 months. WILD guess.

The kits should be available again soon, I'll try and post up when they are. Indoor would typically be Gold compound...but Id have to see pictures or know some of the other tires used to be able to tell you for sure.

I would say that our 0050 Hi-Flow body would allow for some more clearance. Im not sure if you can use the fan, but it can always be mounted onto the chassis.

Thanks Andy. Even if it is a guess that is cool.

blue codes ran same as gold codes, yeh the track was low on grip and the losi camp needs to review the setup to get rear traction back. but when u see a well handled b4 smokin EVERY1 on gold codes. ur heart sinks.

Hi Andy,

I looked up 0050 body on your site and it looks like 001TQ's side is much higher than 0050, am I correct?

Basically, from the lowest part of the side chassis to the top of the fan measure approx 33mm. Can you please let me know if 001TQ would provide that clearance?

If yes, than I would have found my long term body :)

Thanks.

I have ran every wheel on the market recently on my B4. My car feels great with JConepts wheels.

Typically at my track Losi pinks and the Panther Switch seem to be the tires of choice.

Does Jconcepts make a Relux rear wheel that fits The T4 that is NOT a quick change but the normal pin drive wheel?

I know that my 0001SL body (which comes in the TQ pack) just touches the Sphere Comp the a heatsink. I also know that the 0050 has a little more clearence built in...but I dont have an exact measurement.

Track looks dialed!

I would imagine they are running "clay" compound switches since the track is run damp. You would want to go with Gold compound in this case.

No we do not currently.

as far as the compounds of the bar codes go, what is the difference between the blue and the orange?

i know the green JC compound is like Proline M3's, but what about the other compounds? Blue, orange, etc.

Thanks.

Blue is slightly harder than green and works great for blue groove tracks when greens become to much.

The Orange compound is a different compound makeup and will be for clean high-bite blue/black groove tracks.

At the Cactus:
Maifield used Blue compound in the morning rounds (medium-bite) and switched to Orange for the afternoon rounds (high-bite).
