I saw one of those on sunday on this guys car so they are in the united states. Also the milled motor plate is a waste unless you want it for bling i have and was alittle dissappointed with it. same as stock with grooves.

Has anyone tried the 0.5 degree rear hubs in their RB5 yet? I am going to try them out this weekend for kicks.

Thanks Casper.

I was hoping to get the shock mounting locations as well. I am calculating wheel rates and need the other dimensions for the formulas.

I know, I know, I think about this stuff too much!!!

I just like knowing how big a change I am about to make. FOr testing purposes I am hoping I can find a shock mounting location/spring combo that will isolate the arm change and nothing else. Food for though mostly.

Thanks again.

got some interesting information today from Kyosho. I e-mailed their customer service area to ask for specific dimensions and numbers for some items.

The shock pistons, I dont know about you guys, but i'm having a hard time figuring out what piston is large or small or the meaning of the labels. So here's what I got.

large hole----------------------small hole
2B(2-1.3) 2C(2-1.2) 3A(3-1.1) 3B(3-1.0)

probably diameter of hole in "mm" so now we know the actual sizes

Spring rates were my other question...actual rate #'s to go along with the springs. They said that Japan didn't feel it was necessary at the time they produced the kit, but Gil is actually working to have the next batch of springs to be labeled with rates right on the package....so, to be continued on that.

I have a Integy spring dyno and tried to rate all the springs. Don't know how accurate it is, but I'll post the numbers later on tonight.

Shock locations are identical. The arms grew outboard the shock mount locations for the different arms. I posted a picture of the three rear arms Kyosho has in one of these threads about a month ago. I am not sure I have the picture anymore but I think it is in this thread or the Kyosho offroad thread.

definitely! i'm running the 3B front and rear because that's what it came setup as and that's what I've always run...but now that I know what a 3B is...i look at it like i'm running a #57 losi front and rear....which you would rarely do. My rear end nervous problem is probably associated with the piston being too small and packing up too much. I'll go down one piston with the same oil and see what that does...it might just be the ticket to finishing off the car for me!

So here are the numbers I came up with for various companies springs. Again, I don't know how accurate the Integy spring dyno is, but at least you can compare the other brands and get in the ball park.

Kyosho

Front
#55 S Orange 44.2g/mm
#60 S Dark Yellow
#65 S Yellow
#70 S Chrome 52.5g/mm

#40 M Red
#50 M Black

Rear
#50 L Black 30.0g/mm
#60 L Dark Yellow 31.5g/mm
#65 L Yellow 33.0g/mm
#68 L Dark Blue 34.0g/mm
#70 L Chrome 35.0g/mm
#75 L Lime Green 35.5g/mm
#80 L Dark Green

Yokomo

Front
Blue
Yellow 41.0g/mm
Pink 40.5g/mm
Green 44.5g/mm
Orange 45.0g/mm

Rear
Blue 34.0g/mm
Yellow 35.0g/mm
Pink 35.5g/mm
Green 37.5g/mm
Orange 38.5g/mm

Associated

Front
Brown 38.0g/mm
Black
Green
Silver
Blue 59.0g/mm

Rear
Black 26.5g/mm
Green 28.0g/mm
Silver 35.0g/mm
Blue 38.0g/mm
Red 45.0g/mm

*Also had a bit of a problem test the A/E spring because they are a bit smaller in diameter and didn't fit on the spring cup as well as I would have liked (didn't have an A/E cup around).
