Default Novak GTB ESC cooling fan

Hi , I received my first brushles yesterday and ran it today . I noticed that a blade on the cooling fan was missing already and sure there will be more falling off . Are there any better fans to use other than the stock one ? I thought I read on a forum that they were using a different fan , but can`t remember which forum I seen it in . Any help will be greatly appreciated .

I've used the stock novak fan, no problem. I've run my GTB without fan for everything except really hot summer days and 4wd (TC or buggy). buggy and truck just don't seem to get the gtb hot enough.

The fan on my gtb works fine and has never lost a blade. I take it off now and then to clean it off. Was it missing from when it was brand new? If so I'd call novak and maybe they will send you a new one.

There is a Much More fan that is a straight bolt on replacement and plugs directly into the fan point on the GTB. Stronger, and pushes a higher volume of air. It's a little thicker, but a better option than the standard fan.

It's the 30mm fan - part # MR-30FAN. Check here: http://teammuchmore.com/product_info...products_id=76

If you are desperate you can call computer stores and see if they carry small fans like chipset cooling fans. My buddy had some luck finding a thin fan that he bolted above his Novak SS+ for cooling. I've seen those Novak cooling fans break after 1 run on at least two occassions. To be fair to Novak it's not obvious if the plastic is too brittle or if the people using them just crashed too hard.

Radio shack sells a small fan the fits perfectly and works great, they go for $13.00. I've been using one on my novak esc for a while and it does help.

I lost heaps of blades on my stock GTB fans. You've got to be careful that all tour wires are clear and that your fingers stay away!!!
