Never had a pletty, but I do know about them. They are the coolest looking motors imo. Rotaryrocket on rczone forums has one in his Kanaii buggy.
He has had the same thermalling issues with controllers in this car that I had. We both built Kyosho conversions a couple years ago and tried using Hacker controllers.. then a couple other controllers. But we both thermalled too easy...
I don't know what his motor temps were like...
All I can say is that the Neu/Mamba combo is working surprisingly well.
