I'm using 1400mah nimh 5 cell batteries for my receiver packs. I'm charging these packs at .5amps and discharging at 2amps. Does cycling these packs do any good. I've heard cycling nimh packs doesn't help any? I'm also using a cutoff voltage of 4.0 volts for storage. Thanks in advance!

charging from .5 to 1 A is good. dischage at 1A to 2A. discharge down to 4.5V. Cycling only is good for a pack that is new or hasnt been used in a long while. for storage I would dischage down to 4.5V and then add (charge) 200-300 mah for storage.

I use 1400's too and I charge mine at 1.4 amps. Last over an hour too on one charge.

O.S. Power, the website recommends .5 -1 amp charge rate. 1.4 amps doesn't damage your batteries I guess. Sure would charge quicker over .5 amp!

faster to a point though. You are still limited by how much the BEC in the receiver can pass though.
