Starter Box Set up
 

Hi, i just bought a team associated factory team starter box for my 1/8 OFNA buggy. The problem is, i have NO idea how to set it up-can anyone help me? i dont understand which way the flywheel should go, and how the buggy should sit on the box. Pics would be great. Thanks guys!

On most designed bump boxes the rear of the vehicle is the end that you will push down to activate the wheel. From there you will want the wheel to be directly over the flywheel on the vehicle so when you push down on the back of the vehicle the flywheel and the bump box rubber wheel will make contact with enough pressure to turn the flywheel. Also there should be some tab's, posts (whatever you wish to call them) that you will mount onto the cover of the box. Mount them so that they will be located at each corner of the chassis. This will allow you to position the chassis in the same location every time also they will lift the chassis off the box top enough to not jam the wheels together.

Sorry its kinda long but enough to start you on the road.

the best way to align the starter wheel to the engine's flywheel is to remove the engine from the vehicle, then set the complete car (minus the engine) over the starter box. then press down untill the starter wheel comes up and into the opening on the chassis for the engine's flywheel. this is so the starter wheel will align and make contact with the engine's flywheel. the next step is to set your alignment pins to hold the chassis in that position. after you've done that, re-mount the engine and double check the alignment. hope that helps you. :nod:

last pic......you want the starter wheel to come up thru this opening in your chassis. the flywheel of your engine wheel be directly over this opening. again, i hope that this helps you.

if this clearifies things a little better for you, you want the starter wheel to face in this direction for 1/10th gas truck (off-road). you want it to face the other direction for 1/8th buggy off-road.
