Some of you would be amazed at how much one turn of a shock collar can change the balance of a car. Threaded shock bodies are a very good thing. I'd rather have threaded collars than preload clips any day.

I'm still running my Evader ST. They're not bad. I've not had a problem with it, but mind you, it's the all plastic RTR one (that i got 2nd hand for $80), so this thing flexes so much it makes the leader of Fantastic Four look like concrete. The plus of this however, is i can run the Hacker system in it, bash it to buggery and still break things only very occasionally.
From what I've been told however, the graphite one will snap if you talk to it the wrong way.

If I were going to buy a truck again (which I probably will if i ever break this one), I'd go for the Losi. Partly because of parts support as well, seeing as all the LHS around me never seem to have any duratrax parts in stock, whilst the shelves are filled with Losi bits.

Also, if you're buying one new, compare the prices of the Evader RTR kit and the Losi XXX-T RTR V2. In Aus, there's a $50 difference in the kits, and after already running a Havok motor once that $50 difference is going to come from replacing that horrific motor after the first 5 or so runs. Plus, i love the JR radios. They're idiot proof!

The reason to go Losi/ Team AE for a higher price over duratrax is that you pay for quality, not just the name. At any major race, you hardly ever see duratrax vehicles. Losi and Associated are ALWAYS there, at least 1:10 electric and gas truck. Parts for both the Losi and Associated are also prevalent all most major races, and easy to find at the hobby shop. I run an associated T4, and it does well against the Losi's, in fact when I am on and not gettin ghacked it is extremely competitive with the XXXT, both the MF1 and MF2. Look around and see what you can find, there are good deals on roller T4's and XXXT's here, and on fleabay as well, but you gots to be careful there, no idea what you are buying.

Not to mention, if you buy a Losi product, there are Team Losi drivers everywhere to help you with your car, probably at your local track, and definitely on the internet. I'll give my e-mail or Instant Messenger screen names to anyone with a Losi car if they ever have any questions. You get what you pay for, both in quality and customer service.
