Default XR8 Plus/1900kv punch/turbo settings on loose dirt?

Ran my TLR Typhon yesterday with my XR8 Plus combo with 1900kv motor along with 7/5/3 diff and AKA Enduro/Ibeams; stock gearing. Left punch at level 5 with zero turbo and 6 deg neutral. Running on very loose dirt on a large outdoor track.

I noticed that I had some difficulty clearing one jump in particular, which is a hairpin left into an immediate double. A lot of that comes down to surface/tires, and my tires admittedly were pretty worn (got new ones after the race). What I'm wondering is if my motor/ESC settings have anything to do with it. Should I experiment, or leave it alone?

If you are on loose dirt, wheelspin is probably a big issue. You can lower the punch and that will take away some of the low end torque. You can keep lowering it until it starts to feel sluggish.

You could also go up on the pinion gear as long as you aren't having motor temp issues. The larger pinion gear will lower torque and increase top speed, but it will cause more heat in the motor.

Play with the settings also change the motor frequency above 8,000 will smooth it out you're going to have to try it to see how it feels on the truck but you will ultimately be faster playing with these settings it's hard to describe it's a feel you'll just have to try them
