2023 Ifmar Worlds 1/10th Electric Hobby Action AZ
Could not find a thread on this, so here is some basic info. I would like to find a daily schedule if anyone has one. I know the mains are on Wed and Sat. As a spectator and trying to get a flight booked, it would be good to get a full schedule for each day. I contacted Action Hobbies, but they have not been helpful. Maybe they are just overloaded.

I dont believe that there are any schedules as of yet. And if there are, its nothing final. You should watch Hobby Actions Facebook Page for anything official. That is where it will get posted first, unless iFMAR pips them on a press release.

Most big events will literally never have a schedule except the day before they might tell you what time they plan to start.

They don't have bleachers...just standing room.

Hi,
The race format should follow the IFMAR rule book. This is what has happened at all the previous worlds I have raced at.
Rule book has detailed schedule: https://www.ifmar.org/wp-content/upl...20V2%20nov.pdf
Generally:
2/4wd
Day 1 Free practice and controlled practice
Day 2: Control practice and Qualify 1 - 4
Day 3: Free Practice, Qualify 5 and Finals
Note the first day of 2wd will have the opening ceremony at the end of the day.
Also free day between the 2wd and 4wd event.
If you are travelling to watch the event, then day 2 & day 3 are the days to be there, that will get you qualifying and finals.
MiCk B. :-)

I am on the fence. I want to go so I can say I went. How many times is a Worlds here in the USA? I lived in England when the had the 1993 Basildon Worlds. The best of the best will be there and I'm sure it is going to have an international feel. Maybe even get some signatures. Brian Kinwalds home track for the last years of his life. Sure do miss him. I wonder if oldies will come out too like Billy Easton and Matt Francis?
On the other hand if space is limited and it is a zoo inside the building where you can not even see the mains I feel like it is a waste of money. I hope they concentrate on this as a spectator race too. RC doesn't seem to put much value on spectators.

I'm not sure yet what their plan is for spectators, but I know the pit area is only open to racers and people with credentials only. that unfortunately leaves very little room for spectators. hopefully they have a plan. if a couple hundred people wanted to spectate it would be a nightmare for space.

I believe Matt Francis passed away.
