Default Chassis Skin/Protector

I know you can buy pre-cut and full sheet chassis protectors from hobby shops and online. I need one for carpet racing. Is there another option that's any cheaper? Just curious if there are alternatives.

Most I race with just use tape. Since they are repeatedly removing it to fix/change things.

Shock tower protectors are also a good thing.

Billy Kelly Thanks. I have the tower protectors on. Seems like as soon as I put a protector on, I have to remove it for something (i might be prone to wrecking....) and it never really sticks again.

What tape is best to use?

I use a bulk roll of 3M automotive paint protection film purchased from Amazon. It’s decently tough very light and clear so you can cut holes to access screws. It reasonably priced in bulk compared to RC chassis protectors. If you have an existing precut chassis protect you can use it as a template.

If you want to remove and stick them back again, you'd need rc thick protectors. AE sheets are best I've ever used, then Protek
