I dropped a 17.5 in mine and it’s not causing any problems at all.

Got my build done and decided on box art

this was a really fun build, and very different from other Tamiya builds I’ve done. I did have a few screws and bits that were missing from the kit too, which I’ve never experienced with a tamiya build. Fortunately I had what I needed handy.

one thing that caught me out, they use 48p in this instead of the mod .6 that I am used to. I had to go to the hobby shop for a bigger pinion, which with a lower turn motor I think you really need.

gearbox used gears from XV01/XV02 .. you’re not going to have any issues with the RZ.

Someday, in the near future, TowerHobbies will be done with the website upgrade and ship my order. 🤞

ps: what brand board is that? I like the parts holders on bottom.

It’s a magnetic mat and looks like an old model from cowrc.com

they still sell similar ones that I assume are better, albeit they get pretty spendy. I got mine given to me.

Oh, in that case, y'all should be good all the way down to mod class power.

I was thinking about putting my 3.5 in there for giggles and now you’re making me *actually* think about it

Depending on when you ordered it, you may never get it from Tower. I pre-ordered it back in February at Tower. About a week ago, they cancelled my pre-order saying it was due to the merger.

The merger happened a few years back. This is some site upgrade to oracle systems that’s turned into a 💩 show

I just finished with their chat support, painfully slow to get to a live agent. They cancelled my order from 2/6. Had me resubmit today. Added a $25 courtesy discount. After I submitted they went back in and placed me back in cue for my original priority. 🤞 let’s see.

The accounts and website changes didn't happen until this year in May.

They sent me the discount as well with my cancellation. However, they aren't getting my money at all. I reordered but from a different store.
