Setup sheets

Where is a good place to find sample setup sheets for spec racing 2wd buggy?

For Associated cars you can try
Petit R/C is a good source for setup sheets
Also RC10.com
Both have setup sheets and trouble shooting info and or setup help sheets.
https://site.petitrc.com/setup/associated/setupb6.1/

Knowing which 2WD buggy we are talking about will make a world of difference on where to point you.

Most manufacturers have a dedicated documentation section on the webpage for the kit on their website. That page usually contains things such as manuals, blank set up sheets, and complete set ups from their factory drivers for specific events they have run.

If you can get us the make and model of your car, we can point you right to the source.

Looks like you may have picked up a B6.4 ...

I'd say Team Associated's site should have some starting setups as well as Petitrc, those would be the 2 places I would start my search for first.

Good catch, Cain. I didnt even think to go look at his post history, LOL!

Brent's setups are always a good place to start. He likes a neutral set up that works for most.

You guys are correct. I bought a B6.4 kit and built it according to the specs in the manual and did add several upgrade parts. There is so many tuning options with this buggy that I don’t even know where to start so I figured I would try to find some setup sheets to check out for tips. There’s 2 tracks here that I plan to race at, both carpet but one is a large track and the other is a smaller track so I’d like to start learning how to adjust things as I go.

Thanks for the input so far, much appreciated

Got links to the tracks you are going to, be curious to see your tracks. Biggest thing I am seeing being played with on the AE cars with the 13mm shocks has been the piston selections, with some drilling 2 extra 1.1mm holes on the stock piston sizes or going with bigger pistons on the car.

Care to share your info on what you found out so far? I also have been wanting to tinker with pistons and different oils.
I'm running a high grip but smaller track, some of the jumps make us land almost flat.
Thanks

right now my buddy who runs the AE B6.4 and B74.2 has gone back and forth between the following shock setups:

FRONT: 1.6mm x 2 hole 400cst, Yellow 13mm front springs
REAR: 1.8mm x 2 hole 325 - 350cst Yellow 13mm rear springs

Or this:

FRONT: 1.5mm x 2 hole with 2 1.1mm holes drilled, Yellow 13mm front springs,
REAR: 1.6mm x 2 hole with 2 1.1mm holes drilled, Yellow 13mm rear springs

For me, I am trying out the 13mm AE shocks on my Yokomo CAL3.1 here and will be trying this:

FRONT: 1.6mm x 2 hole 400cst, Yellow 12mm V2 front springs
REAR: 1.8mm x 2 hole 350cst Yellow 12mm V2 rear springs

Going with these springs as that would fit with what I was using on the Yokomo shocks so I can better isolate what the body change did I am thinking. To do this, you need to flip the adjustment nut on the shock and use 12mm lower cups, AE ones fit best on AE shock eyelet ends.

I run a very small black carpet track with 17.5 stock power. The best shock package I've found to work for me is this:

Front: 1.7mm x 2 hole piston 35wt oil with orange springs
Rear: 1.8mm x 2 hole piston 32.5wt oil with yellow springs

Here is one of the tracks

and here is the other one

The first one is a small track black carpet and the other one is a larger track.
