I have a Electric Kyosho lazer zx5 it’s all stock parts .
im looking to upgrade it ,but I don’t know where to begin I’m new to rc cars .
what motor is best to upgrade too ?

I assume you have a G20 brushed motor in the RTR version of the ZX-5. I would not rule out going racing with this car, but there are several things to consider. First, make sure to get the correct front wheels when buying a set of tires for the track you are going to race. Your car uses different front wheels than the more current Kyosho buggies, more similar to 2WD fronts. Contact the track owner and check if they can recommend a good electronics set-up and if there are any rules limiting what equipment can be used. The Hobbywing XR10 Justock G3 is a great system at an economic price and a 13.5 should be powerful enough to get you going. I'd also recommend buying a quality servo, but I guess that your local hobby shop will be more than happy to show you the right one for your budget.
