Shock absorber for large RC Car
Hi, I am building a large RC car with a total weight of around 100 kg (220 lbs), so 25 kg (55 lbs) per wheel.
Problem is to find the right shock absorbers - the ones for motor- or mountain-bikes are too big (/strong), those for 1/8 or 1/6 RC cars too small.
What I have found is a supplier for the right springs (30mm diameter, 80mm long, 25 N/mm strength) - but then I need the damper, also for holding the spring.
Any hints where to look for such parts?

Stock Losi 5iveT rear shock springs are 35dia x80 long, and the shock bodies are 28mm diameter, so not much room for movement, and could bind up
From memory the IRC Losi 5iveT shock bodies have a smaller diameter, so less chance of binding. The IRC red springs are very stiff also, what n/mm i wouldn't know though

Small Go Karts shocks maybe? I found 195mm shocks but I can’t post a link due to noob status on the forum.

@HwyStar, 195mm would be way too large, but yes, it makes sense to check Go kart offers.
