The B6.1/B6.2 gear diff fits in the sc6.1. I believe the t6.1 has the same diff case so It would fit in the t6.1. That means the gear diff should fit in the t6.2 and sc6.2. However the ae site does not list the manual yet for the t6.2 and sc6.2 to confirm

A b6.1/b6.2 gear diff will fit. The T6.2 has the same layback & laydown cases included in the kit as the b6.2/b6.2d

Any pro driver setups out there? Just picked mine up. Always like a nice start.

I'm building my t6.2. As I have a pretty tricked out t6.1, I have been comparing them. Am I mad, or is the chassis longer? My chassis protector is short, and my old body does not fit. I just looked at the t6.2 website, and don't see anything about a different chassis?

I put a chassis protector on mine, it fit fine. My son's T6.1 body will fit my T6.2. You sure you didn't assemble something wrong?

Did you make sure to get the spacer in there between the shock tower and the body posts?

Just like most associated kits it built just fine. I wouldn't mind some manual suggested carpet starting setup or a spec motor sized spur in the box. But there is nothing like popping open that good Asian air in those fresh kit bags

Ok, just an illusion. That body is different than mine, and longer. So far I am liking the .2 over the .1. Can not wait to race it. 2 weeks away, hopefully. Darn Plague.

Might not be an illusion.

I have a T6.1 which I upgraded to a T6.2. I purchased the V2 body post set and found that the V2 rear spacer is about 4-5mm longer than the spacer from the T6.1 kit.

I also have the Associated chassis protector which is a few mm shorter than the chassis.

Manual state that it is T6.1 chassis plate. Maybe your chassis protector sheet is for the b6.2?

I am glad to read this! I have a T6.1 and have been frustrated that the V1 body post spacer does not compensate for the thickness of the shock tower (4mm). If you have ever swapped from rear-mount shocks to front mount shocks, you would notice the body holes don't line up properly. Seems they corrected this mistake with the V2 post set... ordering one up for my T6.1

Thinking of putting one of these on my list of cars to get. Having a hard time deciding which brand, AE or Xray. What other options would be good to get to run one of these on a small black carpet track with slicks? I assume a gear diff, but what about springs and other upgrades?

I bought aluminum steering rack, the arms it mounts too and aluminum front pivot. That stuff and maybe swap the pivot for brass for carpet and plus springs. I don't run on carpet, you'd have to look up some t6.1 carpet setups and start from there.

It includes a laydown transmission and aluminum electronics plate which were common upgrades for high grip/carpet. Oh and a front sway bar too.

I expect it to be pretty dialed out of the box, my t6.1 was awesome when I sold it. Plus its all half the price of X ray without their insane list of options for each part. The gullwing arms should be the thing the last truck was missing.
