Storm ST2

There are a variety of updates (e.g. new front hubs and yokes).

I think this is a tease of a Cougar LD3 kit later in the year.

Schumacher will sell very few of these so it is surprising that they would introduce brand new parts just for the stadium truck.

I've not had my Storm ST that long - looks like too many changes to be able to economically upgrade from ST to ST2, but I'm sure some choice parts will fit the ST quite nicely.

One thing that's quite significant for me is the new battery fitment - I use square pack lipos in my ST and they are a perfect fit. Doesn't look like that will be an option on the ST2

Based on the manuals, the front hub bearings have been upsized.

Storm ST
inside bearing: ø4 x ø8 x 3mm
outside bearing: ø5 x ø9 x 3mm

Storm ST2
inside bearing: ø5 x ø10 x 3mm
outside bearing: ø5 x ø10 x 4mm

I'm still loving the Storm St and not upgraded to the ST2 yet, but my car is due a rebuild and I've got some upgrades to put on it:
- LD3 shock caps (U8555)
- LD2 alloy front link mount (U8026)
- LD2 alloy rear link mount V2 (U7651)

I've got L1R alloy rear hubs to fit as well.

Any other good ST2 or LD3 parts worth getting?

I picked up a used st2, I’m running on high grip clay, any idea of what shock pistons to run? Currently, I am running 3x1.5 F and 3x1.6 rear with 500/400 oil, grey AE front spring and white AE rear spring 13mm.
