Default Need some help please newb here😁

I purchased aNew 80a esc, 4000kv turnigy trackstar combo with new Gens ace 4000mah 7.4v 45c 2S1P 29.6Wh and new Power HD LW-20MG servo in a Redcat Volcano Epx with stock 17t pinion and 64t spur gear, and yes all drivetrain is new, mesh is perfect.....does a cogging until it is in motion and then it rips like crazy I the took motor off and held the pinion gear while powering the motor and it's like slipping inside the motor until I give it full throttle then its good, I can't attach video or pic??... and any help would be great thanks

You might need to try lower gearing. If you can make adjustments to your esc you might need to make some changes to get rid of the cogging. The esc might not be powerful enough for the weight of the vehicle. Sensorless systems generally have more issues with cogging than a sensored setup.

Sounds like the sensored wire might be bad or not connected. I would start there first.

I'm waiting for the program card, and the weight was one thing cause it spins fine off ground

Is it possible to use the manual method of programing the esc like a hobbywing esc?

Probably, most Esc's have the ability to make adjustments by pushing a button on the esc. Additionally, reading your original post, it could be your battery not being powerful enough. Look for a pack with more mah and a higher C rating.
