Hello-
Looking for some pointers from those who've had successful experience treating or using emler's glue and water to help maintain your outdoor off road dirt track. I understand there is Soiltac, Gorilla Snot, Groundglue, etc but those are quite expensive. The soil at my track-to-be is mostly sand, and doesn't pack or bind super well. Does anyone have a good method, mixture, and/or process to this application? Thanks!!

The track owner in my area uses laundry detergent as a cost effective way to glue the dirt, but he once cautioned me that high the percentage of sand in the soil mix would make it more likely for any track to get blown out more quickly, he tried to get the highest amount of clay in his soil mix that he could find. He said it would be less expensive to buy clay soil than to treat sand soil.

I love in southeast NC couple miles from beach... nothing but sand! Glue works well... eats up tires. I covered my jumps with indoor outdoor carpet... helps hold shape longer then the soil alone. Have treated 3 times with glue mix. I mix 1 gallon of glue to 3 gallons of water... using backpack sprayer. Adjust nozzle so it has big droplets when sprayed.

Thats interesting, I haven't heard of detergent yet...but kinda makes sense...looking at my detergent bottle and the lid is all sticky and gooped up. Certainly cost effective.
I agree clay soil would be the best way to go. Surprisingly challenging to get a significant amount thus far. I probably don't know the right folks lol.
