Hi everybody,
I have a questions for all. I'll buy an RB7 (Hesitate with a Schumacher, so i hope it will be good for me ).
Which parts i need with the car ? Swaybarre ? Springs ? And ?
Some other option parts ?
Do you have a good basic setup for astro medium traction ? And EOS carpet ?

I'm coming from TC car, so it's new for me
So, if you have some advices for the car...

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Best Regards,

I found under lipo weights counter productive.

Best Regards,
You will be fine with the RB7! A really refined, balanced platform.

For astro and carpet, I would recommend:
-Red, yellow front springs
-Red rear springs
-Alloy rear hubs UMW704-0 are a good upgrade as stock are a bit weak
-Front and rear CF shock towers UMW 739 and UMW740, better suited to the car (different geometry)

Swaybars are available for rear and soon for front, but you don't see those used on current setups.

As for setups, the Marsden one is really good on astro. The Akimoto Hertz seems better on a twisty, small astro track. As for carpet, I don't have yet tested the RB7 on carpet but I would go with the Akimoto Yatabe one.

Anyone running a front wing on the RB7? If you are which one did you go with? I see JC makes one for the RB6.6 so wondering if that setup would fit the new RB7.

Default Compare 6.6 to 7

Any feedback on how the 7 compares to the 6.6 on indoor clay?

Ran the Rb7 on indoor clay high bite track , car was much better than the 6.6. I ran Zach Rogers setup but went up 1 spring on the front to take away steering (Associated Orange) didnt have next harder in the Kyosho range. The car felt so much more balanced, and really liked to be driven, held more corner speed......you will like it a lot

So I bought one and tested last night as well. I agree, the 7 holds more corner speed, is more consistent, and easier to drive than the 6.6. Very well balanced as you stated, not loose or pushy. Awesome car!

I would get the aluminum hubs and gear diff first, then upgrade the steering. Harder springs, hate to tell you to spend more money but those parts are needed, especially for carpet, but the car is well worth it
