It's been so long since I ran with the arrow pointing forward (or run at all for that matter...), but I really remember the car felt much more unpredictable and "weird". I flipped the rack backwards and always stuck with it. Just felt the car was more predictable that way.

Anyone know of a puck out drive setup that works on this car with gear diff?. I know kyo now has the alum shaft with pucks but only for ball diff. Wonder if any other gear diff outdrives would work

I currently run the same spec r and I'm running 30/69. If the track is large I've run 33/69. As always check your temps after you run.

Hello, has anyone installed the RB7SS Aluminum VVC Universal Swing Shaft Set on their RB7? The new bone is 64mm vs. 65.5mm. Seems like a lot to be removed...

Are there any plans for kyosho to make an updated gear box for easy diff removal?

There's a guy on the Facebook group, "Kyosho Offroad Army" that is making one. Not sure if he's ready to sell them yet, but there have been pictures. I agree though, it would be nice to have quick diff access.

Common question here I’m sure.. on-road guy tempted to get into off-road as well. At track 90% run AE, the other 5% is xray, Yok, and Losi.

I run brands that I like vs following the heard. I am a big kid of Kyosho.

1. Is the RB7 every bit as competitive as AE etc?
2. does AE / others have any “new features” that Kyosho is dragging its feet on?

Anymore, I think all the car from the major brands are pretty equal. My track used to have a lot of K cars when Tebo was running them (I run at his home track), but now it's mostly AE. The track does stock parts, but I have gotten used to carrying my own spares. I am fortunate to have Braxton Culley run in my local area so I have some setups to try from my local track(s). Now that the Tebo fan-boy contingent have moved on from running K cars, I have enjoyed being the one who runs something other than an AE car.

The RB7 is a good car in my opinion, but the buy in is more expensive, aftermarket options are smaller and, support is smaller. The only thing I wish the RB7 had was an easy diff access. I bought my last RB67 for $312 new on Ebay, so look around and see if you can get a deal.

nothing they are behind on, unless you consider the quick change rear diff. Not a big deal, tlr isn’t quick change either. All cups and ball studs, I put AE cups and balls on mine, also the battery mounting. Their cups are excellent but not drilled. Kyosho just needs to add more of the race stuff, compared to other kits, rear hubs and aluminum steering. Short answer, stock car is good out the box, just add hubs

For on road I run Tamiya.. so I am already used to carrying tons of spares! Funny about the cups as Tamiya only recently added the drilled holes as well. Must be a japanese thing.
