For me the question is, what will be the best powertrain setup?

GettinLapped 06-19-2018 05:23 AM

My question is where does this fit? Trying to build a class? Basher? Outdoor mini truggy?

Count me in!

If I had to speculate... I think they may be building a class.

Yep. Like mentioned before, I'm sure my local track will make a class. No doubt a few guys will be buying these up, so shouldn't be a problem at all, for us.

I would like to think they will follow the existing class rules for Stadium Truck, years ago the HoBao Hyper 10TT was a popular class, and I can see these being a direct competitor:

Do we have any guess at all as to when this will be out? Will it have a stronger chassis than The EB?

Cain 06-19-2018 10:32 AM

I am thinking Tekno will probably look into anything that they saw that could be improved on the EB410 to add that to the ET410.

One area I am looking to see is a nice durable body. I remember my old ET48 days when that was an issue (not sure if it is still now), so hoping that the ET410 gets a nice durable one.

These I bet would be a blast on a variety of tracks. 1/10 2wd on a large 1/8 track here the stadiums would clean up (we ran open 1/10 2wd, so anything 2wd), can imagine what a stadium truck 1/10 4wd would do.

ET210

This could lead to a ET210 conversion kit LOL.

It appears to use standard 2.2 St shoes, and Matt has stated he is liking standard 2 pole motors right now. I'm sure we will get many details and updates when the kit is fully released. Needless to say I'll have a fleet of these. I'll be the guy to show up with 4 to race and anyone with a spare receiver can stick one in and we can start the movement! (;

This is exactly the type of support we need in the RC world! 💪

I’ll bring 3 receivers 😆

I just bought my first Tekno. There is no support for them at the shops around me but I took the plunge. So far I love it. I did break the the A block on its first run. It was a hard landing and it should have broken, but the fact that the shops here don't have their stuff means not quick fix. Otherwise I LOVE THIS TRUCK.

With that being said, Stadium Truck is my favorite class and has been since my old Stadium Blitzer way back when. I'll buy and assemble this thing the first day its available. WANT, WANT, WANT!!!! Please hurry and release this. TAKE MY MONEY, PLEASE!!!

i find it hard to believe standard 2 pole 540's can effectively power these. back when the TT came out, we had a 1/10 truggy class at my local track. the setup of choice were 550's and then the 4 pole motors when they came out. even some of the 2 pole 550's would heat up pretty good (especially the tekin ones. novak's weren't as bad). while i would imagine the ET410 will probably be a bit lighter than a TT, it will also be going through 3 diffs instead of 2.

i guess we'll see...

Setting up a motor is all about the gearing & the expectations. You can push a 1/8 ebug with a 380 motor & not over heat. It won’t accelerate quickly at all & won’t be fast at all, but it will work. The same applies to a 1/10 truggy. If you want it to be the fastest thing on the track go ahead & put a 2600kv 1/8 motor in it & run it on an SMC 4300 4s with a tekin rx8. Will that be fast enough for you?

My personal expectation is a 10.5 with some timing & boost, & geared properly, will be fast enough to clear any big triples & not have any heat issues on 2s.
