For whatever reason, I can't find cc 1410 3800kv motor. I found only couple used ones on ebay. What would be the good motor choice to pair with sidewinder 3. I am googling and can't seem to find any info. Only pairing with traxxas stock motor.

Which Reedy is it? The older 2 pole, or the newer 4 pole? Reason for asking is you need to watch temps on the old 2 pole motor. They like to run hot. I'm running an older Reedy 3300kv 2 pole with a VXL 3s esc in my Stampede. I have it geared pretty conservatively at 18/90 and it will climb up over 150F on a 2s in around 10-15 minutes. It runs 31mph. I really like the motor for the application, but gearing up or running on 3s would probably fry it.

Castle 1410 1Y Sensored Motor - 3800Kv

The Castle 3800 is a fantastic motor. Big time power. Also a good fit for your Slash would be the Velineon 3500, Castle 4600, previously mentioned Reedy 3300 - preferably the new 4 pole, RC Gear Shop 3900, or any other motor between 3000kv-5000kv.

Here this is the updated motor. It is sensored capable but should run sensorless just fine when paired with that sidewinder

Those are just the solder tabs for the motor that they added so that people can rewire their motor however they'd like. Should be perfectly safe in wet weather. When actually running a sensor wire from the ESC to the motor that is when wet weather should be avoided. But the Castle motor can be run in sensored and sensorless mode.

And with reedy motor, I am assuming I will need to redo the connectors as they are 3.5mm.
RC gear shop seems to come with 4 mm.

Can someone please confirm if 4 mm bullet connectors are male or female on RC gear shop motor?
