I am new to RC cars. But I have purchased my son a Traxxas E-MAXX 3908 Brushless. I am looking for ideas on which batteries and charger to run as to not break the bank any more than I already have. But again I do not want to go EL-CHEAPO Either. I have heard and read good things about SMC batteries but wanted more input I am not dead set on them as of yet. I know I want to start him with 2=2S's and a dual charger if the price is right. Also how do I know which batteries would fit . I see they ask for manufacture for connection info. but many do not ask for model. I'm sure they all don't fit or am I wrong. Model or part # would be nice and Any info would be awesome.

SMC is a very very good option for the price. I run them in almost everything I race.

the 7200mah fits in erevo so i would assume they will fit in e-maxx, its a pretty standard size lipo IMO.
