Solar is the way to go, as long as you don't need it to be waterproof.

@ 7.4v the servo he linked has 30kg/417oz of torque...

I've had great luck lately with the new(ish) trackstar ts-910 servos.

30.6kg and 0.14s @ 7.4v. They are a rebranded alturn servo, and supposedly just fine up to 8.4v. I've been running mine with my bec set @ 8.0v in my sawback, wraith and bully with no issues at all, just loads and loads of torque.

Assuming the vehicle in your pic is a 1.9 rig. Something in the 250oz to 300oz range will really help steer the truck around on the trail. I have heard real good things about the solar servos but have no experience with them.

As for the motor.....the motor itself is probably fine, the drivline setup is bomb proof (to a point) but that drive train set up doesn't offer much speed. Im willing to bet that is what you want to upgrade as well.

I also hear about solar, but i don't have any experience of that. I think you can find some servo range between 10-15 KG.If you want to go to a valley, waterproof is needed.

I tried solar servos, you have to volt them up to 8v to get them to be halfway descent. All they are good for IMO is to take apart and make winches out of them. If you want a great servo for the money go to HobbyKing and look at the Turnigy 959 V2 servo. I run these on all my scalers and none have failed.

Is there anyone who heard about Power star? i had one 8509 in my car. very cheap and good.I suggest you can have a try. in my opinion, no need a big brand. Money should be paid worthy.
