Gmade R1 kit. need help
#1
I recently built and bought a Gmade R1. I put everything together but at the end still had 2 of the smaller bearings left. Did i miss something or was Gmade just generous in giving me spares?
Also when i was putting my front axle together the main gear and outdrive gear would make a slight click as if there was a rough spot. i figued it would wear itself out eventually and completed the axle anyway. anyone else have this?

2 left over bearings is not good. Never had any spare bearings in any kit I've bought over 20 years so while it's possible, odds are you missed them somewhere. Skim the directions and look for where they are used and then check it out.
Cast metal ring and pinions gears usually run a little rough to start, they smooth out after a pack or two.

someone on rc crawler said they also had 2 spare bearings in the same kit so im not worried too much unless we bothed missed them but thats ulikeley. had many spare parts for this kit. mostly hardware and some shock o-rings, e clips, linkage components (things i couldnt have missed). hopefully gmade did include the bearings as a courtesy. the small size may suggest they are prone to failure so a couple spares were nice to include.

They do include spares. My 2¢- I built a set of the r1 axles for a mog build I made and discovered very quickly that the stock bearings are the biggest pieces of crap China has ever made. 1 of the dust shields came off of 3 of the smaller bearing and the shield ate up most of my portal gears. After replacing the gears I upgraded to Fast Eddies bearings and haven't had any failures in over 6 months as opposed to 3 separate failures within 2 weeks with the crappy stock bearings
