Default new to crawling

hey all.

Im new to the crawling scene, buy new i mean i am looking to buy a crawler.

Ive been looking at all sorts of crawlers on you tube and other sites for the past to or three weeks, and Losi have made a definite impression. I have a Losi 1/10 Slider and besides burning out the ocasional motor i have had no dramas so i know the quality is there.

Im the first to admit i have no Idea when it comes to the crawlers but am very eager to learn.

Im trying to decide if i should buy the 1/10 Comp Crawler $284.99 or the 1/10 Night Crawler $399.99

what am I more likely to enjoy as a beginer, any input would be awesome

i would try the losi mrc $249, but if you want a 1/10 than go with the comp crawler or if you want a scale rig than get a axial scx10tr

did look at the axial scx10tr but decided against it, only reason being i live in Adelaide South Australia and it is alot harder to get parts for the axial then it is for losi.

losi have a distributer within driving distance from my house

At this point it looks like the comp crawler is the way to go.

beno3 when u say bullet proof do u also mean it handles water ok to?

cos im building a speedway track out the back for my slider to save me driving to one, and now the plan is to line both sides with rocks(outside track barrier) and bridge over the track for the crawler.

would like to know if i can dig in a small water part to the track, as i aint seen a vid of the comp crawler hitting the water i dont know if this is a wise move

comp crawler is the way to go. I will only be h2o proof if you make it that way.

on that note is there any decent tech books for crawlers, stuff that would cover suspension set ups and the like.

Got the Nightcrawler, but missus put it away till my birthday 14th this month

when i get it ill post pics of it and my track. rock tracks arnt as easy to make as i thought it was going to be lol. at this stage its about 5 metres long 1.5 metres wide, and varies in height throughtout the course with highest point being about 1 metre high.

im out of rocks now so construction of a suspension bridge and maybe a dirt section.
