Installed the electronics today and she's finally a runner.
Shortened the motor and battery wires, installed braided sleeves and bullet connectors.
Soldered female bullet to the motor
This AFRC Sanwa compatible receiver works great!
Testing...
Love how this little beauty turned out. But still waiting for few more parts. Steel center drive shaft, aluminum steering links, steel pivot balls for suspension links, aluminum center skid plate, etc

Lights done for now. Will add more once I get the rear bumper
I replaced the rear LEDs with lower intensity bulbs red and orange. The stock are super bright LEDs.
The lights are controlled via aux channels 3 & 4 using a light switch board connected to the receiver.

Installed magnet body mounts. So much better and easier than putting those pins and taking them off.
I created a magnet mount for the rear from a 2mm carbon fiber board. I still used the stock body posts.

I have no plans to go hardcore crawling on this one. Mostly light crawling and trail. I have another body coming soon, a Jimny J4 (MST). But I'm also planning to build a 300-313mm crawler maybe early next year. That will be used for real crawling.

New metal bumper.
It's quite hard to find metal bumpers that would fit the Jimny's narrow body. The aftermarket Jimny bumpers are made of plastic and priced high ($60 each). I found this bumper with the proper width that fits the Jimny. But the mounting of course is much different as this is made for SCX10. So I ordered a generic SCX10 aluminum bumper mount. Fits the CFX's chassis with a little modification on chassis' (widen the screw holes to allow the mount to be screwed). Then I also removed the long triangular bull bar installed on the bumper.
Aluminum bumper mount installed.
Removed this triangular bar
Test fit... Perfect!

Update:
Installed rear bumper with rear fog lamps.
Bought this KYX rear bumper for 313. It was too wide so I cut the side bars to make it shorter. Then installed rear fog lamps.
Painted the lens of the rear fog lamps to clear red and the reflector housing to bright silver.

Ordered a newer electronic box. Bigger to fit the light switch circuits and it's made of aluminum. Re-arranged the wires too.
Replaced the plastic steering lower link to aluminum too. No more flexing.
Did a some night runs in the street with my friend and my daughter (driving the CC-01)
