Really?? No races the day before holidays? I thought Fathers day would be a good day to race. Well at least I only have to buy half as màny tires. They do run a mini class.

Default race season

I have been racing at Hobby town westminster for over 10 years .the first few years we got lots of races before the Classic in sept.i remember entries of 50 to 75. Season would usually start mid April to early May.The last three years it has been different 2012 start April 15/2013 May 5/2014 May 4 and the classics were 3 days not 2. Now i hear season may not begin until June ? Can someone explain what the heck is going on? Also off this subject races should not have been moved to Centennial we only had one problem at Westie ED that could have been fixed.

We discussed that a bit earlier in the thread. Where did all the racers go? The parking lot in Westminster was FILLED with racers and campers. Even MHOR is getting rid of their on road track. Look at the pics from the last Fall Classic. I think there were 5 or 6 touring cars (thats it!). At least I have the excuse of living 4 hours away and I didnt have a Sunday off at all last year.

Well unless we get short handed again, I'll be down there a few times this summer. Got the racing bug again. Nothing like cooking in a parking lot racing cars with friends!

The season starts May 1st. What we're trying to do is race every other week but the holidays mess things up a bit. We're doing this because last year the turn out was between 6 and 15 entries per week. If we can consistently get 15-20 entries this year we will change the schedule and go back to every week. It's just hard to justify the cost of setting up the track for 6 guys. Hopefully fewer races will get everyone together on the same days so the turnout will be better and we'll be back to racing every weekend by summer.

Hey guys. Just finished up MHIC and want to do some outdoor racing. I have a USGT setup currently. That's the class I would prefer to run, but I am open to VTA.

Are you all wanting VTA, or would a little faster and lighter USGT be the direction this year?

Personally, I would prefer USGT since I have everything I need for the class.

Default USGT VS VTA

I would like to race both classes his summer but if I had to choose I would love to race USGT with old
muscle car bodies or whatever legal bodies are out there. I heard HPI tires are getting a little trickey to source at this time.. I really like the extra power and better hanndling of the USGT class though.
If the weather pemits I will be there on Sunday.. I am going to bring a few additional chassis protectors from racing offroad to see how they hold up on the asphalt if anyone needs one let me know...
I would like to run some F1 also if anyone is interested in running them.
Thanks, Matt B.
