I'm planning on racing 8th scale.

Let's get a mod stadium truck class going!

So your 13.5 classes are going to be no ESC timing?

That's what it looks like. Boring.

13.5 with no timing is more like a stock class. Too slow for me. I am going to run 13.5 w/timing in mod. Or drop in my big bad 7.5 Reedy!

Why no timing??????????
most brushless motors have timing today.
if you want a novice class go with a stock slash class.
you can rent them to new potential racers. make some extra $$

No timing! Gd. Esc timing can't be used, motor timing is all ur allowed. Gear it right, 70 spur 25 pinon hear give or take. Let stock be a "TRUE" stock class.

Looks like I'll be in mod then. I don't have the stuff with me to gear down enough for no timing.

True stock would also be 17.5. No one runs that at MHOR because it is too boring.

17.5 buggy at MHOR was a lot of fun for a while. Primarily because you didn't have people that couldn't drive their overpowered cars. Instead you had people who could pretty much drive their slow cars without getting in the way of people who were faster. At least a few times, the 17.5 winner had a faster time than the 13.5 winner.

Wish it was still going ...

So you can have motor (physical) timing, but no ESC timing????

So I guess they are going to be hooking peoples ESC's up to see what the settings are at?

I should have put "boring" quote marks. I like 17.5 buggy but finally took out that motor in favor of 13.5. I was tired of getting run over in 13.5 with my "true stock" buggy. The difference between 17.5 and 13.5 was realised even more on this latest track getting run over before the triple.

Yeah, but we are NOT at MHOR. And there is a reason we like the bigger track.

I didn't claim we WERE at MHOR; I explained the attraction of 17.5 racing at MHOR. Not trying to pick a fight as I'm happy to participate in the junkshow that is 13.5 buggy. Good times.
